SMS Opt-In & Messaging Terms

Last updated: July 15, 2026

Jobsite (operated by Jobsite LLC) sends SMS text messages to construction workers on behalf of their employer — the construction company that subscribes to Jobsite and manages their safety compliance program. This page explains who sends these messages, what they contain, and how you opt in or opt out.

Who sends the messages

Messages originate from Jobsite's toll-free number (877) 542-6111. Each message identifies the employer that added you (for example, "Acme Construction added you…") so you can verify it came from a company you work with.

What messages we send

Enrolled workers may receive:

  • Opt-in confirmation — one message asking you to reply YES to begin receiving alerts.
  • Certification reminders — notice when a safety certification is expiring or has expired.
  • Training assignment links — a tap-to-start link when a new required training is assigned to you.
  • Sign-in help — a tap-to-sign-in link, or your 4-digit PIN if your employer regenerates it, so you can reach the worker portal.

We do not send marketing, promotional, or third-party messages. Your phone number is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.

How opt-in works

Because consent has to come from you — the person holding the phone — we never send text messages until you have opted in yourself:

  • When you set up your own worker account, you enter or confirm your own mobile number and tick a dedicated SMS consent checkbox shown right beside the phone field. It is separate from accepting the Terms of Service, is unchecked by default, and is never required to use Jobsite. If you leave it unchecked, we send you no text messages.
  • If you tick that box, Jobsite sends you one confirmation text: "{Company} added you to Jobsite, the safety-compliance service. Reply YES to get certification reminders, training links & sign-in help (about 1-6 msgs/month). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
  • If you reply YES, we record your consent (date, time, and message body) and begin sending the alerts described above.
  • If you do not reply, or reply anything other than YES, we send no further text messages. Your employer can still reach you through the worker portal, email, or in person.

Before any of this, your employer adds your name to their company roster so they can set up your training — but no SMS is sent at that step, and no number is messaged until you opt in yourself, above.

Message frequency

Frequency varies by employer and by how many certifications you hold. A typical worker receives between 1 and 6 messages per month. Expiration reminders are sent at 30, 14, 7, and 1 days before a credential lapses.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any Jobsite text message at any time to immediately and permanently unsubscribe from SMS alerts for the employer that enrolled you. You will receive one final confirmation message and then no further texts from Jobsite for that employer. Reply HELP for support, or email support@jobsitecerts.com.

Account administrators (managers)

People who create and manage a company account on Jobsite — safety managers and administrators, not field workers — can separately choose to receive text messages that help them run their own account:

  • Sign-in help — a one-time sign-in code or a tap-to-sign-in link.
  • Two-factor authentication — the security codes used to confirm it's really you.
  • Important account notices — occasional messages about the security or status of your account.

Administrators opt in by entering their own mobile number and ticking a dedicated, unchecked-by-default SMS consent box during signup or from their profile. It is separate from accepting the Terms of Service and is never required to use Jobsite. These are not marketing messages, frequency is low (about 1–5 per month), message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.

Carrier disclosures

Message and data rates may apply. Jobsite does not charge for SMS, but your wireless carrier may charge you for each message sent or received under your plan. Jobsite is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages — delivery depends on your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed. Supported U.S. carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and others.

Privacy

We treat your mobile number as protected personal information. It is used only to deliver the messages described on this page and is never sold or shared with third parties except our SMS delivery provider (Twilio), which processes messages on our behalf. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we store, protect, and delete your information.
